As the daughter of a carpenter, Jennie has always been fascinated with the trades. She has always been proud of having learned how to fix everything herself when she was a kid. Her dad didn’t just buy her new what was broke, he instead showed her how to fix it. In high school she was one of few girls in the wood shop classes and had originally dreamed of being an architect. Having started her first job at age 13 delivering newspapers she wandered through any job necessary to pay her way through college. Much of her high school and college days were spent working part-time at a bank or traveling the world. After college she met and fell in love with a carpenter, a guy she saw a lot of her dad in. Pursuing a career as a Financial Advisor and later an Assistance Vice President at a bank, Jennie’s help in the home office grew Hartland Construction to be what it is today. Now available to the company full-time, Jennie fills her day taking requests for bids, coordinating schedules with sub-contractors, advising homeowner’s on the next design choice they need to make, as well as all the other less exciting office duties. With Paul, Jennie resides in Holmen with their son, daughter, and dog.
