The Hartland Construction crew has a combined 50 years of experience in the construction industry.  Owner, Paul Westlie first started in the new home industry right out of high school building custom cabinets for Midwest Products.  He later took a career in commercial construction with Brickl Brothers.  During his career with Brickl Brothers he found himself overwhelmed with calls for side work doing remodeling and requests from other area home builders seeking to add Paul to their construction crew.  It was then, in 1996, when Paul answered the calling to start his own custom home building company.

For the past 20 years Hartland Construction has been building high quality custom homes throughout the Coulee Region.  Today, Hartland Construction’s work can be seen throughout the Coulee Region not only in the beautiful homes that have been built but also the civic and community involvement that the company gets involved with.

Hartland Construction has been a member of of the La Crosse Area Builders Association dating back to 2001.  Paul has most recently served on the Board of Directors as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, President, and Past President.  He also has been involved with the Parade of Homes Committee.

Today, Hartland Construction sets themselves apart from other area General Contractors by being that construction company that is fully insured and employs full-time crew members as opposed to hiring out the carpentry labor to sub-contractors.  This provides our customers with the peace of mind knowing there will be enough workers to get the job done in a timely, efficient, and quality manner.  Customers get to know the crew and quickly realize how well the crew work together as they put their heart in building your home.

Another key to Hartland Construction’s success is having the owner, Paul, on each of the job sites daily overseeing each element of the construction project.  Paul is accessible to the customers and the other contractors as well as to the rest of the crew.  More often than not, the owner has his tool belt on and is working side by side with the rest of his crew.
